Keeping Creative: Snapshots!

The other night, Trizh slept over and we prepared some of the looks for the ads we're doing for the next collection over at the store, which is coming out some time next week or next next week (depending on how everything turns out). :) The thing I love most about owning a vintage store? Getting to play a little dress up.

Here is a little look at a couple of the things we have on our clothes rack. ;)
We're so excited for the rainy season--summer is fun but it also hampers what you can wear: no sweaters, no layers, no long-sleeved things, no scarves. I feel like a lot of the bloggers I read who are from elsewhere are always excited about hot weather; I'm always excited for the rain.
This houndstooth skirt I'm wearing is one of the prettiest things that we've seen in this batch. And the lace scarf Trizh has on has the prettiest pattern I've ever seen on lace--elegant but understated indeed.
One of the things we love to do is find new ways to model and wear vintage clothes. Here, I'm wearing just the Elvis jacket (as fondly called by Trizh) with *le gasp* nothing but lace shorts and boots. And Trizh has on a pretty blue-and-purple skirt as a tube tunic dress. :)

So excited for this to come out. :) In the meantime though, it's Chemistry time! I've got a couple of Pre-Laboratory Journals to fix up. Oh, Carbon. Oh Carbon Carbon Carbon.

Brightside Entry | Crazy is the Forecast

Spent the morning brainstorming with my darling friend Trizha, who is the artist behind everything on here and over at the store. We spent the morning talking about our ideas, plans (oh, yes, we have a lot of these) and projects for these next few months. There is nothing like a morning spent gabbing over pretty things, creative impulses and exciting events over caffeinated drinks (tea for Trizha, a cafe mocha for yours truly) at Hollys.

Today is turning out to be a pretty good day and much, much easier than I expected--I passed chemistry, for one so yay! Below are a couple of photos that you might enjoy!

I love what Trizh was wearing today--the pattern on her scarf is beautiful.

Peach fabric for--well, that's a whole other thing to talk about.

Blue-green fabric for--well, mum's the word for now.

Messy, messy workplace--NY cheesecake, table napkins, drawing journal, glasses, fabric swatches, cellphones & TKo's calling cards. Hodgepodge galore!

 Self, stil fabric-obsessed.

Shoeeeees--and forks that klutzes like me keep dropping.

Mary from Price Tag dropped by a little later in the morning and dropped these goodies off. Here's a little sneak-peaky. Cannot wait to wear these!

<33 That's all for now. Much love! :)

Death by Association

Trizha's been talking to this sort-of therapist; he isn't a medical doctor or anything--his treatment is more about therapy than it is medicine although I think he uses the same modes of testing that they employ in more clinical settings.

Part of what her therapist (let's call him that for the sake of something to call him, since I don't like the terms "clinician" or "psychiatrist" very much and anyway, I don't think he's either of those thing) is asking her to do is to list down five things that she is thankful for. :) Because Trizha loves to draw and paint, she deicded to illustrate her lists. :)

I was very, very touched to get on Tumblr and see this posted up on my feed:

:) Made my heart melt. Hahaha Anyway, she'll be posting up illustrations like these everyday, if you guys are interested to go see. Check her out on Tumblr: http://deathbyassociation.tumblr.com
