Brightside Entry | Spreading The Love

While I'm waiting for today's Day In The Life Challenge to upload on YouTube, I thought I would give you a little background info on the care package thing that I prepared for Akire today. :) See, I know how difficult break-ups can be, especially since I've been through so many of them. I know especially how difficult it can be when you're the one who's done the breaking up with the other person. I have huge, huge empathy for people who have the courage to do the breaking up with because they're the ones who (in most cases) have the guts to face that something is wrong with the said relationship and are honest enough to say or do something. So much of the time, the people who've been broken up with are just scared to be the un-sympathized-with party. :)) But let's get into that later.

Anyway, Akire is my friend who was also my editor back in Malate and one of the best women that I know. :D So yeah! Giving care packages was something that I used to do back in 2008/2009 for my friends when they'd break up with people. I think the most epic one I'd put together before now was for my college BFF Cha (hi, Cha!) when she broke up with her long distance then-boyfriend: I remember I bought her this beautiful pink polka-dotted dress and the package came complete with a copy of Cosmo and He's Just Not That Into You as well as a copy of the Princess Diaries.

But yeah. I've found that (for the most part) people have been so nice to me and it's just right to pay it forward and spread the love. I'll save the reveal of the stuff I included in the package for when the video is up, but I'll put a little teaser up here as well. Later on in the day, Akire & I ran into our friend (Sulky) Ron at Hollys Coffee Shop and they decided to do a little modelling. :)) We also did some cyber catching up with our friend Mon, who was our Photography Editor back on the Editorial Board for Malate Literary Folio and is one of the funniest, craziest, most irreverent and spontaneous people I know. :D

TGIF indeed!

Mon, cyber-having coffee with us. :)
Akire making an effort to wear everything in the bag that I gave her. :) The hat and the necklace were right out the box. And Ron, of course (photo below) would not be outdone.
