Today was spent mostly with dear friends discussing fashion, art and cute boys--okay, that makes me sound like a valley girl but really, sometimes it is just fun to kikay out. I know that a lot of my friends who love fashion are scared to admit it because they think that they might be perceived as flighty or (god forbid) maarte but honestly, I think being kikay isn't necessarily a bad thing.
My Humaart professor told me once that people are always saying that art is useless--but really, aren't the arts the most pragmatic things in the world? Our three basic needs are food, clothing & shelter: so the most important people in the world should be chefs, fashion designers & architects--and to a certain extent, I agree. I think anyone can be into fashion and some of the people I know who are most serious about things: be it art, literature, international studies (like Jacob) or medicine, even are very into fashion. Hahaha But--that was just me being defensive. HAHAHA Let me continue:
I spent the day hanging out with Jacob at Hollys and then agno, talking about jewelry and styling and photography--we're possibly doing a men's line collab in the near future and I'm super GADUPER excited for that. And before that, I was (as I mentioned in my previous entry) talking to Akire about Gendry from Game of Thrones. Hahaha Akire looked gorgeous today, too by the way (like an ethereal goddess)--it's a shame that I wasn't able to snap a photo of her but she sent me one that she took using her phone so yay!
I wrapped the day up by getting some Gong Cha with Ina, doing a little window shopping and a little real shopping--I bought this beautiful maxi skirt which I'll be showing you guys this Monday. Had a great time! Also ran into my dear highschool friends who I hadn't seen in years! So great to run into people who are still warm and crazily un-awkward even after all that time.
Hope you enjoy today's snappies!
Empty Agno--this photo by Jacob Kho
Akire's beautiful ensemble--shoes to die for, too. This photo does not do her justice.
Jacob smoking a cigarette--and looking fabulous as usual.
Cheese Naan for dinner! :)
I obviously fell in love with these clogs from Bayo. Super beautiful and (as you can see in the photo above this one) give me a wonderful boost. hahaha
