I'm not sure if this sprung from my addiction with online shopping (it's so convenient) or if one of the allures of online shopping was the thought of getting things in the mail--quite a chicken-and-egg situation we have here.
Well either way, I absolutely love getting things in the mail. And if it weren't for the inconveniences of waiting for weeks and weeks from things abroad, not knowing whether or not something is going to get to you and/or getting your stuff infected (possibly) by anthrax, I would do away with e-mail almost completely.
Whenever I hear a motorcycle outside our house, I swear to god my heart skips a beat. :)) Today for instance, I got yet another Lula Bop's package in the mail and the feeling of tearing the plastic JRS bag open was wonderful. Sigh.
Also, the thing that I love about receiving packages from friends and family (like my best friend Peluchi) who are an ocean away is that what you're touching they actually touched. While you can imagine an e-mail being typed out, you can't touch something that that person held to their chest or pressed their wrists against whereas with letters and packages, you have literally, a bit of that person with you.
