Brightside Entry 4.1: Pigging Out With Friends
Last night, I hung out with Joy, Trish and Marz. Funny, really. I just woke up from my nap when I got a text from Joy that said, "Guys, Nuvali later?" Perfect-o.
Nuvali is a shopping/food centre in Sta. Rosa (on the way to Tagaytay). The nice thing about Nuvali is that it's situated in the middle of a huge field/plain so it's always breezy and most of the restaurants give you the option of al fresco dining. I am a huge fan of literally, eating out. There's something nice about breathing in fresh air while you enjoy your food and anticipating the additional pound-or-so that's sure to appear on your weighing scale the next day.
Seriously though, when I'm alone or sometimes even when I'm with friends, I don't tend to eat a lot (ask Keavin, Carlos and Marz). I hardly ever finish my food. But whenever I'm with Joy, Trish and Marz, food always seems more enjoyable. Last night I didn't quite finish my share of the food but I ate a whole lot more than I usually would, which made me feel pretty good.
We ate dinner at Wings N' Things, this place that's known for its Buffalo Wings. There's also a branch in BF Homes on Aguirre Avenue, but the Nuvali branch had much more ambiance.
Marz and I split a pound of wings (Garlic Parmesan flavor) and each ordered a side of Mac N' Cheese. Delicious, delicious meal. However, the real lady killer, the real thing that made me want to bend over backwards and have babies with it was their New York Cheesecake ice cream. Motherfucker (excuse my french, if you taste this ice cream, you will see that my expression is warranted). There was cake in the beautiful, fluffy ice cream. Delicious.
We drove to my house at around 9:30 pm, where we proceeded to have wine in our garden (hence, the need to split today's entry into two). :) [Thanks to Joy Vidad for the photos, (follow her Tumblr site here)]
