Brightside Entry | Sunday Morning

That Maroon 5 song used to be favorite from Songs About Jane--not that it isn't anymore but I suppose I just don't think about Maroon 5 that much nowadays. Gone is the angsty, angry Adam Levine from when I was fifteen--not that I don't appreciate their current dancier hits but nothing resonates like sadness. Hahaha Anyway, I'm getting side tracked: this Sunday morning is being spent lying in bed, looking at the sun filter in through old rose curtains. There is something beautiful about not having to get up and do anything just yet.

It's only lately that I've started liking Sundays. Sundays used to mean going to mass and in my family, that means everyone getting into an argument that I have to mediate and/or becoming everyone's emotional punching bag. But lately--ever since I've decided to stop lying to myself and meditate/reflect instead of going to mass--Sundays have become very spiritual for me. Sunday is when I recharge and think about everything that I have to do within the week. It's calming--kind of like a warm up before a run, I suppose. It keeps me together. 

I like making a mini-calendar for myself in this small notebook that I carry around (P24/three pieces at National Bookstore). Lists are soothing. Here are some current enteries from said notebook:

Deputy Ambassador!

So today, I got an email from Dot TK, the domain hosts that host this blog and I've been named one of their Dot TK Ambassadors. Because they've presented me with such a great opportunity, it is now my job (and my sincerest pleasure) to share the basics of Dot TK with you guys.

Dot TK is a website that gives their domains out for free; it's more community-based than it is money-based and that's what really drove me to get a Dot TK web domain as opposed to the more common .com ending which honestly speaking, won't cost you much more but also won't quite give you that sense of community available over at Dot TK. 

They really track your progress over at Dot TK and it's always inspiring to see the things that other Dot TK-ers are doing. They also make room for your creativity over there and have their users make banners and contribute to the community. <33 Wonderful. :D Super gadoooper happy to be working with them. Show You My Blueside

I found this beautiful vintage top while we were out in Ayala yesterday. I love the different colors and how they bleed into each other. It's very fresh (presko indeed)--I'm a sucker for sheer things. I can definitely imagine myself in this on the beach. Hrrrrrm. I am in desperate need of some beer, smokes and good company by the beach.

Today, I'm going to be spending most of the daylight hours lying on my bed, reading blogs and perhaps catching the latest episode of Gossip Girl. Joy's coming over later and we're going to have a picnic in the park. :D Hopefully it doesn't rain--despite the sunlight, the sky's looking gray; only-in-the-Philippines weather, yes? I've been listening to a lot of old Rooney songs lately. I think that is fueling my want for some beach time. Only the end of the red will show you my blueside.

Happy Labor Day, everyone! Spell It Out

So today  is the crazy, self-directed, blood-sweat-and-tears shoot that Trizh and I organized for the store (the clothes don't disappoint)! And because we're doing everything (minus photography--so much thanks to Joey Alvero for agreeing to this, I will push through with our ex-deal hahaha) this whole project is both extremely exciting and unbelievably daunting.

I fell asleep at around 3:00 am last night, making sure that all the looks were properly put together. Now, all we can really do is hope everything will go well. :D I'm very excited to share the photos with everyone once they're out. :)

Brightside Entry | Crazy is the Forecast

Spent the morning brainstorming with my darling friend Trizha, who is the artist behind everything on here and over at the store. We spent the morning talking about our ideas, plans (oh, yes, we have a lot of these) and projects for these next few months. There is nothing like a morning spent gabbing over pretty things, creative impulses and exciting events over caffeinated drinks (tea for Trizha, a cafe mocha for yours truly) at Hollys. 

Today is turning out to be a pretty good day and much, much easier than I expected--I passed chemistry, for one so yay! Below are a couple of photos that you might enjoy!

 I love what Trizh was wearing today--the pattern on her scarf is beautiful.
