So along with a haircut, I also got a manicure today because my nails looked terrible. I was going to get them painted this glittery sort of gold/beige color but I changed my mind and decided (for once in my life) to go with something more adventurous. I got it painted this shade of Cherry Red (by Bobbie) polish. I now want to eat my nails. Nomnomnmonnom.

I had the manicure done at Going Straight (along with my hair). Pretty affordable manicures there and their manicurists have such great manicuring skills. (It's P110 for a manicure, and P190 for a haircut) Also, lesson learned today: don't get your hair and your nails done at the same time. I had to get my thumbs + forefingers redone twice because hair got into them. Yikes! Enjoy le photos!

Favorite Things | Manicure Mondays

So today I found myself in Taft, with the most terrible chipped nails. I delivered a couple of things to my good friend and editor Akire + had coffee at McDonald's (because that's what broke people like to do). And then because I couldn't stand the unsightly condition my nails were in, I decided to treat Akire to a manicure at this place in UM (University Mall) that I'd only ever glimpsed from the outside. It's called B.A.R. (Beauty & Relaxation) and is bar-themed. It's really, really clever what they did: they've got cocknails, eyes bucket and other quirky services. Hilarious. :)) And I spied a couple of bottles of Absolut behind the counter so I'm guessing that you really can have a cocktail to go with those fabulous cuticles. :)

 I cannot express how sick I am of Taft Avenue and how unappealing the thought of seeing it everyday again this coming week is--but that's life. :))

Brightside Entry | Today in Snapshots

Today was a great day. :) Spent the day chilling out with Keav at Greenhills. We had lunch and then went to the salon to get Keav's haircut (sigh--admittedly I will miss his long, curly hair). I decided to get a manipedi while I was at it, so yeah. We also had the best dinner of special hopia + coffee. Hahaha perfetto!

 Keav's haircut process was hilarious. :)) Hahaha Here's how he went from le curlytops to le clean-shaved geekygeek. :D 

Before and after--he is not posing, by the way. That is Keav getting upset over the fact that it took them ages to shampoo his hair. xD

Just a camwhoring blooper that I found pretty awesome. And my nails, post-manicure; I'm an au naturale girl most of the time so I picked out this pretty beige color. ;)
