The Cutest Product Ever

I was browsing through stuff in the bookstore before Trig class yesterday and I saw this adorable deco tape on an abandoned shelf and it looked so adorable and so out of place in the bookstore that even if I had no real need for it at the time, I went and picked it up anyway. Anyway, yeah. This really made my day! I used it to stick up my sched and a couple of receipts from the past few days in my journal and I find this way more aesthetically pleasing (not to mention way cheaper) than the checkered band-aids. :)

Giveaway | WinaWonders Face It Journal Giveaway

Recently, Trizh got back from China and she bought a lot of these cute journals while she was over there. I bought two sets from her because I'm a huge fan of journaling (both online and offline) and cannot survive without a nice notebook to write in. These notebooks are (in my
opinion) perfect because a) they're adorable b) they're pocket-sized and c) they have blank pages. I am a huge fan of blank-paged notebooks because they give me the freedom to write whichever way I want as well as draw on the notebooks whereas the more common lined notebooks are a tad restricting when it comes to doodling. :D

However, because I feel greedy keeping it all to myself + I love my readers, I decided to do a giveaway with the extra set. :)

Aren't they pretty? There's one for every mood or disposition you're in. I'm currently using the "Pure" face, except that I added "Im" to the beginning of mine (photos of that tomorrow).

You have two easy-peezy steps to follow if you want to win these journals. Below are your options:

Option 1

Share this link on Facebook (there is a F button below) with the caption "WinaWonders is giving away these adorable journals and I want to win them! :)"

Comment on this post with your Name, E-mail address, link to your wallpost + why you want to win these journals.

Option 2

Follow me @winapuangco on Twitter & tweet "I want to win this set of journals from WinaWonders! + link to this entry"

Comment on this post with your Name, Twitter username, E-mail address + why you want to win these journals.

:) This giveaway runs until June 2, 2012 (this Saturday). Winners will be announced the next day and will be notified by e-mail. You also have the option of doing both options. This will get you +2 entries. I'll be replying to your comments on this post with how many entries you've earned. :)

Goodluck everyone!

How To | Decorate It Yourself Journal!

As promised, here is a How To post on how to decorate your journal. I'm not sure why this mode of decoration didn't occur to me earlier--I usually go for messy collages or holiday paper wrapping--but better late than never, yes? So let's get to it!

You'll need: a sketchpad/notebook to decorate, Ink-Jet friendly sticker paper, calligraphy pens/colored markers

Take your plain journal and lift the cover, measure it against the sticker paper and cut/fold to fit so that the entire front is covered with sticker paper.
Make sure the entire front is covered; smooth out any air bubbles that the sticker paper may have left. Don't worry if it's a bit transparent, we'll cover that up in a bit.
It would be best to decide on a theme before you start decorating--I chose "favorite songs" because I'm a sap like that. Basically, I took different song lyrics and wrote them down using different fonts which I achieved via the calligraphy pens (I used a 1-point and 4-point) and I really recommend them; they're only 56 pesos each at NBS.

And there you have it! Personalized, Decorate-It-Yourself journal! And in case anyone is wondering, "Stay Free" is what's tattooed on Brian Fallon (singer of The Gaslight Anthem)'s knuckles, and that means a lot to me so even if it's not from a song, that's why it's there. :D Hope you guys enjoyed this! If you choose to execute this DIY project, tell me how it goes, I'd love to see what you do with your journals!
