Today is a wonderful, stormy day in Manila and for the first time this whole week I have nothing to do and nowhere to be but home. So I'm spending this wonderful pre-weekend day lying on my bed, watching Friends re-runs and half-listening to One Direction (so sue me), with the rain buzzing in the background--yes, I need lots of white noise to be able to concentrate.
I also had a nice cup of coffee this morning along with a wonderful breakfast of toast and eggs. So far, so good with the transition into a vegetarian diet. So long as I can have my lacto-ovo stuff, I'll be fine.
Yesterday, I braved the long road to QC and hung out with Keav & JC (as mentioned here). We hung out in JC's apartment and it got me thinking about how nice staying in can be. He cooked us this wonderful dinner that was very reminiscent of vietnamese cuisine--boiled petchay with salt and pepper + rice. Then we (me, Keav, JC & Bea) had some coffee, put on a little One Direction and dancing around while the rain poured outside. JC's apartment building is really nice and breezy. His apartment has this one wall that's practically just one big window. There's also a great rooftop up on like, the 40th floor that we used to climb (they've now made it illegal) and Keav captured this beautiful photo from up there.
