Brightside Entry 8: Going places you've never been

I spent most of the day with Trizha, just catching up. At around 3:00 in the afternoon, she asked me to go with her to Philippine Women's University (PWU) because she didn't know where it was (I knew because Joy and I missed our stop our first day in college).

Trizh was going to inquire about pottery lessons/workshops and we were sent to the Fine Arts Department. I quite like the way PWU looks inside--it's very homey. The staircases are made of reddish-brown wood and the place smells of books. In the Fine Arts wings the walls were littered with huge canvasses featuring different styles of painting; these were projects by the painting students because they had tags and were addressed to certain professors.

We were able to get a complete list of summer workshop courses (very interesting courses indeed, I'm thinking of enrolling as well) in different mediums of art--painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, pottery.

Also, we were able to poke around a little and I was very, very fascinated by the graffiti in the comfort room. Very straightforward indeed, no?
Doesn't show up on camera but on the bottom panel it says "mamamatay ka rin"

Somehow the prospect of spending the summer drawing things comforts me. :) I used to love to draw very much--mostly caricatures and portraits of people. Taft Avenue was an ocean this afternoon, literally--salty-looking water was lapping onto the concrete shore. It looked beautiful in a terrible kind of way and I wish I'd had a photo of it (but it isn't the smartest thing to take your camera out on a jeepney, I realize).

Adventures, adventures, adventures. :) I want to go to more places.
