Brightside Entry 5: Dinner at 1005

Today was, I must admit, despite my attempts to stay cheerful, a very glum day for the most part. Traffic was horrible this morning and I ended up missing my first class. Furthermore, I had a Chemistry exam and spent about 4 hours studying. That definitely paid off--the test was alright; I was exhausted after, though. And that irritating white guy who sits behind me still kept laughing at me, even if he was the one who didn't have a calculator (way to go, smarty pants--yeah, I said smarty pants, very mature of me hahaha).

However, one of the great things that happened to me today was that I was able to meet up with my friends Trizha and Ron. :) I bumped into Ron--or rather, he bumped into me since I was just at Hollys Cafe all day and he happened to walk in around lunch time--and he invited me and Trizha (who I was supposed to have dinner with) over for dinner. He cooked Eggplant Parmigiana and had some brownies his younger brother had baked over at his apartment.

My class ended at 6 pm and I was in a terrible mood because school was crowded and made me feel terribly claustrophobic so despite the rain, I asked Ron and Trizh if they'd mind meeting me in agno. After a couple of smokes, we headed over to Ron's and had dinner. The parmegiana was delicious (muchos gracias again, Ron) and Trizha and I couldn't stop eating the brownies--they were almost chocolate mousse-like in consistency and had huge chunks of chocolate chip in them. Mmmmm. We talked about lots of funny things like awkward situations and oddly domestic things like coffee and waffle-makers; it was very relaxing.

All that was left of the wonderful brownies

After dinner, we sang along to songs and tried to guess at lyrics of old songs for about an hour.
Discovered a very nice song called "5 Years Later" or something (will check later on). Relaaaaaxing.

Trizh and I took the bus home (although for her, that meant 10 minutes and for me, an hour and a half) around 9:00.

The ride home was a sleepy blur; I was so full. Dinner with old friends was the perfect way to end such a stressful day, methinks. :)
