Today, Keav and I went to Greenbelt to go shopping for glasses--they were devoured by the ocean last week. And trying on different types of frames and making fun of one another (mostly Keav) was so much fun.
But other than the realization that glasses can make you look ridiculous, another idea brought to mind by being in the Optical shop was how important sight is to us and what a relief glasses can be. I myself wear glasses; my grade is 100 (astigmatism) on the right eye, which means that my vision doesn't focus and so I have trouble with depth-perception (as you can tell by my brilliant volleyball-playing skills). And on days when I forget to put my glasses on or bring them to school, I get splitting headaches or start to feel nauseous after a couple of minutes. And after Keav got his new glasses (featured below), the expression on his face was priceless. :)) The world was clear again, he said. CLEAR AGAIN! Hahaha Such a relief to be able to read and walk and see, again.
Ended up getting these big, semi-aviator framed ones. The rims were so beautiful--a sort of white-gold/brass finish. So classy. Or as Keav would put it, "classeh, dahling". :))
LOL. I like his frames. They're totally bad-ass. :D
