You Win Some, You Lose Some: The Super Sale Bazaar 2012

I have some pretty mixed feelings about today. While I definitely don't regret going--I met a lot of wonderful store owners as well as got a couple of great things. I also had a blast with my good friends Ina & Marz who were kind enough to go with me (forgive my messy hair in the last photo, please--there were a lot of people and my scarf got caught on someone's bag, hence the curly disaster) and have lunch even if I got crazy eyes and kept making bee lines for lots of different things. Below are a couple of points that I have to make about my bipolar relationship with today's bazaar.

Content. The brands that were present were amazing. I saw a lot of my favorite  online shops to stalk were there like Centipede Shoes and Vaintage; I also discovered lots of new stores like Shopluxe and even my block/thesismate Kat's store (which I had no idea she owned).
There were also make up, perfume and swimwear stalls (like the cult favorite Soak Swimwear) in addition to clothing, shoes and accessories. Hands down, if I could've bought everything at the bazaar, I would've.

Prices. The big 9-0 on the poster really had me going. I brought about two thousand bucks and expected to be able to shop the heck out of today but I was a little disappointed at how low the prices went. I didn't get to see a lot of significantly dropped prices and every girl loves a bargain. Because of this, I was a little put off and ended up buying just a couple of pieces (which is for the best but has left my shopaholic side depressed) which I'll be showing you guys this week. While I understand the struggle to break even (at least) at events like this, I think that more people would get excited/ buy things like crazy at events like this if the lowered prices really dropped and dug their way to well-- okay the prison joke doesn't work because that ends in China and there are already too many jokes about that, but you get what I mean. Lowered prices = more enthusiasm = more sales.

Logistics (Timing/Location, etc.). One of the biggest bummers about today was that the Metrobank ATM was down until 3pm, which left my dear friend Ina and I in a huge shopping rut. And the only thing worse than standing in a hall full of beautiful things and having no money is standing in a hall full of beautiful things knowing your money is trapped inside a metal machine a couple of rooms over.

While the location of the event was perfect because it was both drive and commute-friendly + it was airy and a very pretty venue with great comfort rooms, I found that eating was a terrible, terrible ordeal. I don't eat red meat and avoid meat when I can so I had to struggle with my Chicken Katsu while standing by a bench near the non-functional ATM. Being from the south, where we are bazaar crazy, I know that a bazaar is the one place where small and intimate doesn't do much for ambiance. I'd definitely recommend that the organizers put up more tables and chairs. The food was alright--it wasn't that great but it wasn't terrible either. :) I also loved that they had Gelato at the event. Muy delicioso.

Over-all Verdict. I'd give this event a 3.5/5 stars all-in-all. I still like it more than hate it but I would've had so much more fun if certain things hadn't happened the way they had. I'm definitely looking forward to the next Super Sale Bazaar; I'd definitely like to go and shop knowing what to expect this time (and hopefully, getting more than I expected).

I didn't get to take a lot of photos but I hope you enjoy the ones that I did take!
Have a good night and enjoy the weekend everyone!
