And I don't just mean when you're asleep--I'm a huge daydreamer. The idea for this blog and for the store came to me on a bus on the way home. I like to dream a lot and that has both its pros--new ideas, expansion of the imagination--and its cons--disappointment, discontentment, the inability to get real. And I think I temper that floatyaway-ness by bombarding myself with social networking sites: Facebook, Twitter, various blogs so that I can get in touch with what's happening in the world.
One of the things my friends and I fantasize about is winning the lottery or, in me and Keav's case--helping an old man across the street and learning that he's an old guy who owns 25 billion pesos and has no heir upon his serendipitous death where he names us heir to his fortune. Hahaha Passe but imaginative nonetheless?
Anyway, here are a couple of things off of my life's wishlist:
A House With A Porch
I'm not sure what the allure of porches is for me--maybe it's one too many episode of Gilmore Girls or that Taylor Swift video where she's out on a porch in a blue dress but a porch is vital for whatever house I'm going to own. It's a perfect way to enjoy the outdoors without being outdoors, exactly. That's how I envision myself as a 60-year-old woman: sitting on a porch with a glass of Southern Comfort, smoking a cigarette with one of those Hepburn filters. :)

A Bar at Home
The girlaloos and I used to talk about this a lot--we definitely need a bar wherever we're going to live. Not that we're alcoholic or anything--but we do know how to tip our elbows when it's called for. I'm not the type of girl who really likes to go out to clubs and drink and party; too much effort and not enough talking (I'm all about keeping the conversation rolling). I'm definitely a fan of house parties though. They're really fun and minus the clean up, allow for real quality time with the people you love.
In case anyone is wondering, favorite things to drink: Sprite + Southern Comfort, Sprite + Brandy, 3 parts San Miguel Light + 2 parts Cerveza Negra, Rum Coke, Sangria

A Library
I love to read. In fact, that may be (up there with writing) the one thing that I love doing the most. I don't know what my life would be like without books (yes, I had quite the lonesome childhood, as I think is typical with most people who like to read/write).
Beast from Disney's Beauty & the Beast definitely takes the cake for the best gift to a princess. A library. Wow. I wish someone would give me a library. :))
A Wedding Suited to the Couple Having It
I have yet to go to a wedding like this. Most weddings I've been to--it's all the same. Catholic, in a big church, then a reception where people play games that make people uncomfortable. The best wedding I've been to was one where my cousin Joseph and I decided to bail and have a couple of beers at the gas station near Bellevue. I really like watching wedding videos online because it's so refreshing to see a wedding being a reflection of the couple's personality as opposed to being something that everyone has to go through.
One of my favorite wedding features is Elsie Larson's over at abeatifulmess.typepad.com :) Here are a couple of pictures, head over to her blog to see the rest.
I love her bridesmaids' different berry-colored tights! So wonderful!
Elsie's dress was stunning as well. Simple & pretty without being too casual.
Elsie & her hubby. :) Such a nice touch with the chalk board.

And that's all for now. :) More from my wishlist soon!
Thanks for an excellent article! I appreciate your insights and agree with what you wrote. 2 bedroom house plans
